Eric here. Mark Mauldin of Denver suggested “turquoise,” which is a pretty cool word I think. If I’d had the energy to produce it out with strings and bass I think this might have been decent. But I was exhausted. Probably the worst song-a-day I’ve done.
Day 24 - turquoise
Donovan Armijo and Eric Shiveley (in order of importance) are melodic sketch artists from Alamosa, CO. From June 26 (Donovan's birthday) to July 25 (the 24th anniversary of Eric catching a wristband thrown by Night Ranger's drummer) they will each write and post a song a day. Anyone who fails to post must down an entire bottle of cooking sherry. During the duration of this exercise, Donovan will be semi-legally painting street addresses on the curbs of his fair hometown. Eric will be working the night shift at a homeless shelter and taking apart all of his recording equipment to remove sand that has stopped half the buttons from working.

NOTE: Laurelin Kruse was originally taking part but had to bail because of an oblique strain. She apologizes for her failure. She will somehow make it up to everyone and to herself someday. No word on whether she'll drink the agreed-upon bottle of cooking sherry. We know she's capable.
